The Opportunity

The business is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager / Construction Manager to take full ownership of a major commercial cut‑and‑carve project in Birmingham City Centre.

This is a flagship scheme set to be completed early next year.

The role will suit:

• A Senior Site Manager ready to lead a major scheme
• A strong Site Manager seeking a #1 role
• A Project Manager
• Someone energetic, ambitious and keen to progress

The Role – Senior Site Manager / Construction Manager

You will operate as the No.1 on-site lead, responsible for driving safe, high-quality and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire on-site delivery of the scheme
• Lead subcontractors through structural, M\&E and fit‑out phases
• Manage daily reporting, programme, quality & sequencing
• Drive site logistics, H\&S, permits, inspections & compliance
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Ops Director & Commercial Director
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and consultants
• Ensure timely delivery to programme milestones
• Support future workload across the Eastern Region after this project

Future Workload & Location Flexibility

After completion of the Birmingham scheme, the business ideally wants someone who can work flexibly across the Eastern Region, including:

• London
• Bedford
• Cambridge

Candidates based around Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton would be ideal

About You

You will be:

• Strong in cut & carve or structural refurbishment
• Confident, organised, consistent and delivery-focused
• Energetic, ambitious and keen to progress
• Comfortable running teams on high‑spec commercial projects
• Hands-on with excellent communication

Qualifications

• SMSTS – essential
• First Aid – preferred
• CSCS – preferred

Hours

Approx. 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
