The role – Civil Engineering Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This civil engineering contractor are searching for a hard working and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Based in their Cambridge office, you will work alongside their production team, you will ensure the contractual control and cost management across a wide range of projects for the region.
You will be office and site based covering the Cambridgeshire region.
You will be joining a commercial team of 5
You will have exposure to the full project life cycle with involvement from initial enquiry through to project delivery
You will be assisting on all commercial aspects relating to the projects, whilst achieving the highest standards ensuring the company’s strong reputation is maintained.

·GCSE’s Minimum 7 A-C / 5-9 including Maths and English.
·Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
·General Knowledge of contractual terms within construction.
·Excellent PC skills, in particular excel.
·Strong mathematical ability.
·Excellent interpersonal skills.
·Skilled at gathering and interpreting data and information.
·Ability to produce a range of cost value reports
